Barbeque iPhone App

Are you like me and can't cook for your life? If you have an iPhone, there's a solution for you to be able to cook stuff on your iPhone. I came across an application called Barbeque. Its $0.99 in the app store and its very fun when you're bored, or if you feel like cooking something. The food almost looks real, not in size however, but it does change colors during the cooking process. The bad news is you STILL can get food burnt, so it won't automatically make you an iPhone barbeque cooking expe...

EchoFon for Mac

EchoFon is a decent app for the iPhone, so when I heard they were coming out with a Mac version, I decided to try it out. To be honest its actually not that bad, it still needs a lot of features, however, this is very beta, so I'm sure more and more features will be added. As for the UI, it's amazing. Nice and clean, very simplistic User interface. very easy to use, and sleek, not to mention very Mac like. Right now there isn't much more to it, but as the final release gets closer and closer, mo...

Thoughts on Tweetie 2 for the iPhone

Earlier today, Atebits announced Tweetie 2 for the iPhone. At first, I thought it would be just another number and "new features" just to charge us again for the app, but they made a lot of improvements: - First off, I've been told by one of the Tweetie developers that 1 second auto updates is in their Todo list . This obviously is very good news. Why? because Tweetie is my favorite client UI wise, but always refused to use it because of 2006-like way of handling the loading of tweets(manual ...

ESPN Fantasy Football iPhone App

A few weeks ago, ESPN Released a Fantasy Football app for the iPhone called ESPN Fantasy Football 2009. It has a pretty decent UI, not the best I've seen, could do better for an application that's $4.99. And considering that "2009" is in the name, it looks like it will be a subscription app. It does the basic things of Fantasy Football: view fantasy scores & NFL Scores, Fantasy standings, and move players around. However, its still missing a LOT. You can't trade, drop, or acquire pla...

SlipStream

SlipStream is a Mac OS X app that shows a cool way of showing you your open application windows. It provides a preview of the window and where it is on the desktop. It gives you keyboard control over the size and position of your windows. - Very useful for power users who use multiple displays and want to use their keyboard to mainly control windows and where they are. The developer has estimated that SlipStream will cost $15.00, looks like it's not official yet how much the app costs. (...

DeskClock

DeskClock is an iPhone app that shows the date and time, and the calendar to the whole year. It has a nice User interface and easy to use. There really isnt much else to it. Only problem is that the app isn't free. Yes, its only $0.99, but I Don't think its worth $0.99 for just an application that gives you the date and time. Screenshots:

Flickr

"Share your photos. Watch the world" as Flickr says, and that's now exactly what you can do with the recently released iPhone app, Flickr by Yahoo.  This for sure, is one amazing app.  First, you are able to log in with your account information.  Once you have done that, you can upload photos directly from your iPhone, view recent activity and uploads, view your personal photo stream, search, and view all contacts.  Every feature on this app works flawlessly!  On the startup page, the app provid...

Police Radio

Police Radio is a useful app for the iPhone that lets you listen to the Police, Fire, and EMS stations throughout the US. As of now, it only supports major cities and state police, but their website says more and more cities are being added to the application. However, if there isnt a feed for your location, you can request one here. There really isnt too much more to the app, however I do find this very useful when I'm bored. I used a similar web app on the desktop, so now I finally have the i...

ESPN Radio

ESPN Radio is a sports application that is basically in all in one sports app from ESPN for the iPhone. It provides news, SportsCenter updates, and the score ticker on the bottom. This app is so good, at times, I think I'm watching ESPN. The radio sounds clear when on wifi, and decent on 3G, don't know about EDGE since I live in a fluid 3G area, so didn't test on EDGE. You can also see all scores from all major sports, and you can watch highlights. There are about 35 different podcasts you can ...

Push Gmail available for the iPhone

woooo! Finally, after almost 2 years using an iPhone and Gmail, Push Gmail is finally here! I set it up, and it was a breeze. Here's how to do it step by step: Steps 1-4: if you've added a mail account before on your iPhone or iPod Touch, its the same steps. except instead of going to Gmail as your account, you click on Microsoft Exchange. - Once you selected Microsoft Exchange, you then type in Your email in the email field (leave the domain field blank) - enter your Gmail email as yo...
