So Far, So Good

It's been two days since my reinstall, a clean install, of Windows 7. If you have read the last post I wrote, "Endless Problems with Windows 7" you can see that I had a great deal of issues. So with all of that in mind, I decided that it would be best for me to simply do a clean install of Windows 7, just to get out the bugs from the last install. Now, two days after the second install, Windows 7 seems to be working great. No errors, no major issues, it's finally starting to act how Win...

Christmas Wishlist 2009

I don't normally do this, since MacSlice is usually all about reviewing stuff, but since we're now in the Christmas-time of the year I usually like to go off topic and start talking about the Holidays. I remember doing a wishlist last year(of course, back when MacSlice wasn't around) and it had some success, got most of my things. We'll see how things go this year. This is not a top 10 list, but it does go in order from REALLY want to "hmm I'd like this". 1. New 21.5'' 3.33GHz iMac: La...

WordPress 2

WordPress 2 was released a month ago, but not until today did I notice the major improvements and updates it had. There are a ton of updates to the app, including major UI changes, bug fixes, and new features. The 1.0 version of WordPress, well, long story short, was nothing. So the 2.0 version is a huge improvement. Here are the list of new features/bug fixes that WordPress 2.0 mentions(taken from app description in the app store): A new, more efficient user interface that makes...

GameCenter

GameCenter is an app made by GameFly that lets you search through most if not all video games and also search cheat codes. Not to mention, its free, so it gets Free iPhone App of the Day award for November 28th. You can also see game reviews, reviews by the user, view game descriptions, release dates, news, and much more. Check it out, it's a great app for hardcore and normal gamers! Screenshots:

Jelly Car 2

Jelly Car 2 is a great iPhone game that is $0.99 in the app store. This is a sequel to last year's game, Jelly Car. There have been a ton of improvements to the game since last year. I remember reviewing the game way last year, back when MacSlice wasn't even around, and I really didn't like the gameplay. This version of the game though definitely improves the gameplay and it provides new features from the previous game. New Features include: Custom Mode - you can create your own puzzl...

Movies At Your Fingertips

Today's iPhone app of the Day is Fandango. Fandango is a free iPhone app that lets you search what movies play at your local movie theater and any movie theater within 250 miles. You can also see what movies are coming soon, and you can also purchase tickets from the app to the theater! And lastly you can also get some directions if you don't know where you're going. 3D Penguin Bowling

Today after viewing a site that had over 250 free iPhone apps, I decided to give 3D Penguin Bowling a try. The game is $0.99 but is free for this weekend and will go back to $0.99 on Monday. The game in my opinion isn't as great as I thought. It's really laggy, slow, and it doesn't have the best Graphics. The gameplay is OK, but not great. In my opinion, even though they're offering the App as free for a limited time, I wouldn't recommend buying this game. There are better Bowling games o...

Endless Problems with Windows 7

Many people have claimed that Windows 7 lots better then what Vista or XP was. Well for me, that's certainly not the case. Ever since using Windows 7, I have encountered numerous problems. One of the main ones is happening on iTunes. When adding music/podcasts/video I get an error message. The message says this: "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." That's it. I have researched for days on what the solution could be. So far, no...
