Glow Jump for the iPhone

Glow Jump for the iPhone is a fun game in where you attempt to get a high score by jumping as high as you could. It's an equivalent to Doodle jump, which isn't a free app. Glow Jump enables you to create your own profile on a service called Openfeint, which saves your high scores in a database along with thousands of other players across the world. Glow Jump is in the top 25 list in Apple's app store, in which I'm definitely not suprised. Features include: Moving and rainbow pl...

PS3 stuck in the Past

Many PS3 owners have been worried about the February switch to March problem. For those that don't know it, when device settings think every year is a leap day and contains 'February 29' whereas it is only every 4 years and it usually crashes the console to make it unusable or lets you change the date and be on your way. However, Sony and many original PS3 owners are reporting device hiccups within the PSN network and the console settings. When Sony released the first version of the PS3, it d...

Nintendo World Summit Overview

On Wednesday, February 24th, Nintendo had their World Summit conference where they announced and talked about all kinds of new stuff. From what I have seen, this is going to be a pretty good year for Nintendo. All kinds of juicy news came from the World Summit, such as release dates, gameplay videos, and even a new DS. First off, Nintendo introduced a new DS, the DSi XL which is basically an oversized DSi. Personally, I think they are making way to many versions of the DS and this is just gettin...

Review: Riddim Ribbon B.E.P.

It has arrived, it is finally here after all the fuzz from the Tap Tap Revenge users. Riddim Ribbon B.E.P. (B.E.P. stands for Black Eyed Peas, the music band of #1 hits), a great mix between being a DJ within a game, a racing game where you tilt your device, and Tap Tap Revenge. The game comes with three tracks from The Black Eyes Peas: Meet Me Halfway, I Gotta Feeling, and Boom Boom Pow.  Oh, but that's just the main track. In each of those tracks, there are two remixes of the song. You choo...

Oregon Trail for the iPhone

Remember playing The Oregon Trail as a kid in elementary school on those old, dusty, computers? The Learning Company has released the classic educative game for the iPhone. And I must say, it is VERY addicting. It will bring back school memories as well. The same concept is still in effect. You cross the United States via the Oregon trail and have to overcome obstacles along the way. Your oxen can get sick, someone in your caravan can become injured or sick, you can hunt for food, etc. ...

Thoughts on Xbox 360

I have been having my Xbox 360 since December and I have absolutely loved the experience thus far. I have the Xbox 360 Elite with the 120 GB Hard Drive and a subscription to Xbox Live Gold. The first thing that I liked about the Xbox 360, is the nice dashboard. It is easy to navigate through and use. Also, the avatars you can create for your character are a lot better than the Mii’s you can create with the Wii (sorry Nintendo). The Xbox Live marketplace has a good selection of games and avatar a...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Review

The first time I really got into Call of Duty was when I started playing on a server with a few friends around May of last year. I was on a laptop running Windows playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare at the time, but now I am finally reliving the memories on the Xbox 360 version of the game. Comparing to the latest game in the series, Modern Warfare 2, there are a bunch of changes, some little and some big. First off are the maps in Modern Warfare. I absolutely love the maps in Modern Warfare ...

Why IWNet is the worst thing that has happened to gaming in 10 years.

October 23rd 2009 Infinity Ward released the 6th version of Call of Duty, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. As in any other version of Call of Duty, the champaign was really short. However the previous versions have made up for that by presenting an amazing multiplayer experience. But, In this version I got very, very disappointed. Most multiplayer games work by the use of a "dedicated server". This is a machine on a high speed connection that is dedicated to running the server that manages...

Fable II Review

About a week or 2 ago, Microsoft released some really popular Xbox 360 games as Platinum Hits and put them at a price of $19.99. One of these games, which I was really interested in getting, was Fable II. I was was hesitant to buy it because, compared to the other games I have, it wasn’t particularly the same. However, I am really glad I made the choice to buy this game because it is a very fun and addicting game. Fable II is a fantasy-like RPG game. The game takes place in the land of Albion, w...

Modern Warfare 2

For Christmas, I got an Xbox 360 along with Modern Warfare 2. Overall, I think it is a spectacular game. The campaign is pretty short, lasting at about 5 hours, but still very fun. One of the things to know before playing the campaign would be to start out easy if you want to breeze through. Once you go to a higher difficulty, it gets extremely hard. Other than the story, there is another section of the game called Special Ops. It is basically a collection of mini-games which are very entertaini...
