How Do You Tweet?

Everybody seems to have their own personal favorite twitter client whether it be an application or web-based. Personally I used Tweetdeck because it gives me everything I want to see all at once, this is nice because it fills my second monitor. I am also fortunate to have 4GBs of RAM because Tweetdeck is a memory guzzler. From Tweetdeck you can view someones profile and view that specific persons tweets, you can also follow, unfollow, or block from the same screen. Tweetdeck is very customi...

Cinch for Mac Review

On this episode of TechKnowledgey, I talk about Windows 7 and some of it’s nice window management features. You know how you can compare two windows by dragging them to the edge of the screen? Well now a developer has created a program for the Mac that allows you to do this in Mac OS X as well. I always found it interesting how it seems that lately, at least, Microsoft is doing all the copying of Macs and Apple with their new Zunes and so on. No, I am not saying that they just go ahea...

Pixelmator for Mac Review

Pixelmator is a great alternative to Photoshop. It is only $50 but is stuffed with advanced features; those include layers, eye dropper, gradient, and effects tools. Also it comes with basic brushes, but you can download other brushes at the Pixelmator website; you can even design your own brushes with customizable shape, size, and spacing. Another key factor is the rulers and guides that help you align everything perfectly. There are also grabber, scaling, and zooming tools. This app comes out ...

Magic Mouse Review

Ah, the Magic Mouse, Apple's latest mouse. It's truly magic. Cheesy, I know, but the mouse is actually really cool. The mouse it self was inspired by the iPhone's multi-touch hardware. In fact, Apple even implemented the momentum scrolling into the mouse's software. As we all know, it's got both primary and secondary click, or left and right click, whatever you want to call it, as well as 360 degree scrolling. But, whats inside? First of all, the design is definitely sleek, but may take a bit...

What’s In My Dashboard?

Everyone does Whats In My Dock, and I recently made a video on Whats in my iTunes. Although, not too many people have done a Whats in my Dashboard post. Earlier today, TechnoBuffalo made a Whats in my Dashboard blog post, so I decided to do one myself! This is in order from most used dashboard applications to least used: RadarInMotion I use RadarInMotion pretty much everytime I check into my dashboard. I Check out my local radar, US radar to see what other weather might be heading my way, a...

EchoFon For The Mac

A few months ago I reviewed the early stages of EchoFon for the Mac. It had great potential but at the time but it didn't have all the features a normal twitter client would have. However, since then, the App has improved greatly. The user interface has changed completely, and more features from Twitter have been integrated in new versions of the Application. EchoFon also brings the web features of Twitter right into the application, which most Twitter clients have done this in the pa...

Antenna: Radio Stations From Across The World

There is a good amount of Apps for the Mac, iPhone, Windows, pretty much any device or Operating System that lets you listen to radio stations from Across the world. However, Mac OS X doesn't really have a great application that stands out. Antenna is an Adobe Air application(unfortunately but..) that lets you search radio stations across the world. Not every single radio station is available though, and most are in poor quality(as in, less than 100kbps bitrate). Besides that, there are a few gr...

iGlasses Adds Enhancements to your Webcam

There are a lot of programs out there than can make enhancements to your Webcam. The most well known one(and personally my favorite) is CamTwist. I use CamTwist for when I stream and I really like it, but lately, I found an application that also does this, and it's called iGlasses. iGlasses is pretty much CamTwist just with a bit more options in terms of how you look, instead of giving a lot of options for additional text, etc. A downside however, is that the app is shareware and is $9.95 USD, w...
